Spotwave closes its doors

Spotwave Wireless had everything going for them: $36 million in venture capital, more than 70 loyal employees and a great set of products… now winding up their operations and placed into receivership.

Started in 2001 and backed by some heavy hitters in the mobile world – Motorola, Dow Corporate Venture Capital, Newbury Ventures, VenGrowth Private Equity Partners, Primaxis Technology Ventures, Skypoint Capital, VentureLink Fund, The GrowthWorks Canadian Fund, and RBQ Ltd. Spotwave had early success by their “smart antenna, always on” wireless technology that gave you coverage solutions indoors.
