Bell adds TMC Traffic to its navigation service

Bell uses TMC Traffic to boost GPS Service in Canada - MobileSyrup.com

Bell has added TMC real-time traffic to compliment its GPS functionality in select phones.

With TMC Traffic, Bell customers are given turn-by-turn directions to a desired destination able to avoid heavily congested areas. In addition, when and an accident just happened while en route, the TMC service will notify you and suggest an alternate route – this is only currently available in Toronto.

There is also a overview map that gives you an indication of different areas by colour:
Red areas are slow conditions (less than 50 km/hr.)
Yellow is for slow (50-79 km/hr.)
Green is for smooth driving (80 km/hr. and faster).
