Apple reports Q3 results: 8.4 million iPhones sold

Apple’s been getting hit hard over the past few weeks regarding the iPhone 4, but they just reported their Q3 2010 results and it’s another one for the record books. They stated in a release that revenue hit $15.7 billion and net quarterly profit of $3.25 billion. Stellar results. On a product breakdown in this quarter they sold 3.47 million Macs, 9.41 million iPods, 3.27 million iPads and specifically when it comes to the iPhone: a massive 8.4 million were sold this quarter (up 61% compared to Q3 2009).

Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO said “It was a phenomenal quarter that exceeded our expectations all around, including the most successful product launch in Apple’s history with iPhone 4. iPad is off to a terrific start, more people are buying Macs than ever before, and we have amazing new products still to come this year.”

What do you think about this good news for Apple… will this reduce the amount of talk about the iPhone 4 antenna issues?
