Dropbox for Android updated with streaming video support

OK, folks, listen up: Dropbox is on the move, and they want to be your media hub in addition to your storage centre. See, they’ve entered into deals with both HTC (25GB) and Samsung (50GB) for free storage for two years if you purchase either a One Series device or a Galaxy S III.

The app has recently been updated to support Ice Cream Sandwich, with a nice design based on the Holo guidelines, and with its latest update a nice media-focused feature has graced the app. You can now stream video directly from your Dropbox onto your ICS-based device, something that few other storage outfits can do. This means that you can upload your favourite shows, or other media, to the cloud and watch them anywhere.

Download Dropbox from Google Play if you haven’t already — you get 2GB free to sign up.
