Rogers, TELUS, WIND and Mobilicity Nexus S users can download the official Jelly Bean update

WIND and Mobilicity Nexus S owners can download and install Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean as Google takes its sweet time rolling out an OTA update to these users. The update is for the I9020T and not the I9020A, so Rogers/Bell/TELUS users need not apply right now.

Nexus S owners must be on version IMM76D (check in Settings/About) in order to update. You can download it from Google directly, put the update file on your SD card, boot into recovery and flash. You can’t be using a custom ROM or a custom recovery — if you are, it may be best to wait for a custom ROM based on the update.

Update: Google just posted news on Google+ that Rogers is part of the list of carriers for the Jelly Bean upgrade. “We’ve started rolling out Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, to Nexus S phones on a number of carriers including T-Mobile, H3G [Three], O2, Rogers as well as Vodafone in most countries, with more to come. Enjoy!”

Update #2: We’re now getting reports that TELUS users have received Jelly Bean on their Nexus S
