The Calgary Parking Authority (CEP) has launched a new “Text to Park” feature that offers registered users the option to pay for parking via their device.
In order to start using this you’ll have to sign up for a ParkPlus cell phone account and follow the instructions, simply text the four-digit ParkPlus zone number to 77587 (PPLUS). You’ll then be sent a text confirmation of when a parking session has been activated or expiring. The CPA also notes some fine print, specifically noting that there’s “a minimum $1.00 fee applies to all cell phone account transactions for on street parking. The minimum fee in a surface lot or parkade will vary depending on the minimum purchase for the facility.”
