LG announces the mid-range L Series III L40, L70 and L90, all run KitKat

LG already unveiled the G Pro 2 earlier this week and it also seems the company will be ready to show off several more devices at Mobile World Congress. A trio of the mid-range L Series handsets were announced late last night — L40, L70 and L90 — and they all run KitKat. LG notes the launch is scheduled sometime in Q1 and most likely hit emerging markets as they are 3G-only, sans LTE.

Specs wise, the L40, L70 and L90 have 3.5-inch, 4.5 inch, 4.7-inch displays and a minimum 1.2GHz dual-core processors, an optional “Quick Window cover” case and familiar design lines to several LG flagship handsets, including a “delicate finish” and “checkered pattern on the back.” Below are the complete specs and a 2-minute ‘design story’ of how the L Series III came to life.
