Minuum, the one-dimensional keyboard for Android devices, has previously been shown off on smartphones and smartwatches. The app found immediate interest when they initially unveiled its possibilities on Indiegogo, raising over $90,000. The app also gives users the option of having a full-sized vertical keyboard, if desired.
The company claims that it’s “the best keyboard for smart watches,” but you can now add Google Glass to the mix. The video demo shows how Minuum keyboard currently works on Glass, simply by tapping the Glass unit and finding the letters you want to type, which looks like it’ll take forever to type a message to a friend. Where it seems to be getting really interesting is the potential future products. Minuum reveals that they are working on an input method that will allow the user to simply tap in the air and type, via a ring adapter. In addition, the goal of Minuum is to make the keyboard available on every surface, including one’s arm and even completing a message by eye scrolling.
