Fitbit gives its Android app a much-needed makeover

Fitbit’s Android app, while functional, was never pretty. That has changed with the release of version 1.9.4 over the weekend, which not only adds some important features but overhauls the look of the Dashboard.

While the company has been adding support for practically every Android device running 4.3 Jelly Bean and above, this new version also adds better support for MobileTrack on the HTC One M8. That functionality was added in collaboration with HTC to obviate the need for an actual tracker, using the phone’s sensors to track steps instead.
