LTE-connected Nexus 9 coming to Rogers

The 8.9-inch Nexus 9 will be coming to a Rogers store near you in the near future.

We’ve received word that the LTE version of the device, which hasn’t yet launched on Google Play, will be coming to Canada’s largest carrier. We know very little about the launch at the moment, though the outright price is expected to be close to Google’s $669 cost.

Carriers are pushing connected tablets more than ever as share plans gain traction. Rogers, Bell and TELUS allow users to add a tablet to an existing shared data plan for $10 per month, which works out to be fairly inexpensive with a big enough data pool.

The Nexus 9, which we really liked, sports a 4:3 aspect ratio 2048×1536 pixel IPS display, a 2.5Ghz dual-core 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 chip, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage (on the LTE version, anyway), dual front-facing speakers, an 8MP rear camera, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

We’ll have more when it’s available.
