LG is taking no chances on securing naming for its possible next-gen flagship smartphones. While the G2 and G3 already exist, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted manufacturer trademarks for LG G4, LG G5, LG G6, LG G7, LG G8 and LG G9.
While this is not an indication that LG will follow the same naming scheme, it’s certainly a solid hint. The G4 is rumoured to be coming sometime in Q2 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip and a 3K display.
Now might be good a good time to register the LG G10 or the LG GX.
