Moto 360 now receiving Android Wear 5.1.1 update, brings WiFi support

Moto 360 users can expect to see the Android Wear 5.1.1 update arrive on their smartwatch. Google and Motorola announced the latest OS will start rolling out OTA (over-the-air) over the next few days. This update enables the Moto 360 to have always-on applications, the ability to draw emoji in response to incoming messages, a new way to access apps and contacts, and WiFi support.

The Moto 360 was officially released in Canada on October 31st of last year. The smartwatch has seen a significant price drop recently with some carriers and retailers selling the device for less than $200. Motorola is expected to announce a second-gen Moto 360 in the coming months.
