The next smartphone from Motorola is almost here. While this isn’t the first time the newest Moto G has leaked, this latest leak gives us the greatest indication of what Motorola has planned for its next phone.
A new set of pictures and videos reveal that the company will use a similar design to its previous efforts. Currently codenamed Osprey, the new phone features a 4.97-inch 720×1280 pixel display, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, running Android 5.1.1.
Probably the biggest improvement is its camera. As previously tipped by Motorola’s CMO Adrienne Hayes, the AnTuTu benchmark shows a significant bump from the 2014 Moto G 8MP/2MP combination. According to the benchmark, the new smartphone sports a 13MP rear-facing camera with a dual-LED flash and a 5MP front-facing “selfie” camera.
While there is no indication of price points or a firm release date, rumours have pointed towards an official announcement next month.
