GoPro is reportedly developing a mobile app that will allow users to immediately edit and share content straight from their iPhone or Android device. According to a report in TechCrunch, GoPro president Tony Bates confirmed the app should be available by the end of the summer and is currently “in the final phases of development and testing.”
This new app will certainly save users time in sharing their videos, but what is unclear are how the product plans to differentiate itself from the bevy of first- and third-party video editors already available on the Google Play and iTunes stores.
GoPro also recently unveiled its “premium content licensing portal” that allows the GoPro creator community to monetize videos.
