More than 14 million devices are already running Windows 10

Despite a limited rollout, a lot have people have already managed to upgrade their desktop computers and tablets to Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 10.

Since becoming available on July 29, more than 14-million devices have migrated to the operating system, the company announced this morning.

More people will be able to update their systems in the coming days and weeks, and Microsoft promises to help if any issues crop up, which is a relief because Windows 10 has some less than helpful error messages to guide the user should something go wrong.

“Rest assured we are working 24×7 to continue the upgrade process and are prioritizing the quality of your upgrade experience over anything else,” says the company on its blog. “We are grateful for your excitement and enthusiasm and we appreciate your patience over the days and weeks ahead as we carefully roll out Windows 10 in phases to all of you that have reserved.”
