OnePlus 2’s latest update adds camera improvements, crushes nasty volume bug

OnePlus 2

You have to hand it to OnePlus – the hardware startup has been absolutely prolific when it comes to releasing software updates. The past two weeks have seen the smartphone manufacturer upgrade the OnePlus One to Android 5.1 with Cyanogen OS 12.1, and prior to that they updated the OnePlus 2’s OxygenOS to version 2.0.1.

Today a new OTA update has started rolling out to the OnePlus 2. The update includes a couple of minor bug fixes and improvements.

With OxygenOS 2.0.2, fingerprint recognition should be improved. Moreover, the phone’s camera software has received a pair of improvements – the front facing camera should be more stable, and the preview software has had its user experience reworked. Lastly, a bug that was causing the phone’s volume to be muted unexpectedly has been quashed.

This update is rolling out slowly over the next few weeks. OnePlus says a more significant update, version 2.1, is on track for mid-September.
