HTC will unveil a new HTC One on October 20

HTC was missing from Google’s Nexus event this year, but that didn’t stop the company from making an announcement of its own. The company will be unveiling a new Marshmallow-powered smartphone on October 20.

The official invite shows a large device with curved edges. Rumours have previously indicated that the company will unveil the One A9, which has been tipped to sport a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 4MP front-facing Ultrapixel camera, a 2150mAh battery, a rear fingerprint sensor and a unibody metal build.

According to the invite, HTC says, “this is not your traditional smartphone so we aren’t hosting a traditional launch event. We will be unveiling the smartphone via a virtual event held at at noon ET.”
