Staples adds Apple Pay to its mobile website

Staples has added the ability to perform transactions via Apple Pay to its mobile website, resulting in less manual form filling for those who want to buy items from the company’s mobile website when on the go.

If you want to use Apple Pay when making purchases in the Staples’ App, on the Staples’ mobile website, or in Makr, a personalized design and print service that has an iPhone and iPad app, Apple Pay is compatible with the iPhone 6, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 and later.

The office-supplier already offers Apple Pay in Staples’ iPhone app for business customers, regular customers and in stores. If you plan on using Apple Pay in stores you can use iPhone 6 and later as well as Apple Watch.

Grand and Toy, the company’s largest Canadian office-supply competitor, currently doesn’t offer Apple Pay on its mobile website.

This is just one small move in the gradual growth of Apple Pay in the Canadian market as more Canadian banks have been adding the service to their roster including Scotiabank, BMO, TD, ATB, RBC, CIBC, Tangerine, Desjardins Canadian Tire MasterCard, President’s Choice MasterCard and American Express.
