Microsoft announces new Surface Book i7 with major graphics boost

Microsoft has announced a new addition to its Surface Book line, the Surface Book i7, which the company promises is 3x more powerful than the 13-inch MacBook Pro thanks to its new Core i7 processor.

The laptop-tablet hybrid has a detachable 13.5 PixelSense display and a ‘Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge,’ which allows the screen to balance at any angle, though the hinge seems identical to the technology featured in the original Surface.

In addition to its new processor, the Surface Book also features twice the graphics performance with the inclusion of the powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M GPU.

As for battery life, the laptop-tablet hybrid promises 16 hours of battery life, a 30 percent improvement over its predecessor.
