Apple announces WWDC 2017 will take place June 5 – 9

Apple announced today that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will happen on June 5th to the 9th in San Jose, California.

“Technology alone is not enough. Technology must intersect with the liberal arts and the humanities, to create new ideas and experiences that push society forward. This summer we bring together thousands of brilliant minds representing many diverse perspectives, passions, and talents to help us change the world,” says Apple on its WWDC website.

While the conference will not be held at Apple’s new ‘Spaceship’ headquarters, the event will take place “just minutes” away at the McEnery Convention Center. Apple is expecting thousands of developers to attend.

Similar to previous years, Apple will open up applications for the developer community to apply for tickets beginning March 27th, but for those not able to score a spot can watch the event unfold live from the WWDC app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, or through the web.
