Leaked photos have revealed what may be one HTC’s newest mid-range device, the 5.5-inch One X10.

The photos, which emerged through Chinese social media platform Weibo, show what appears to be a metal unibody and round rear fingerprint sensor with capacitive navigation buttons at the bottom of the display.

A previous leak from mobile tipster Evan Blass indicated the phone would have a 1.9GHz octa-core Mediatek 6755V/C processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 1080 x 1920 pixel screen resolution. The camera package is reportedly an impressive 16.3 megapixel rear shooter and 7.9 megapixel front-facing shooter.

The device may be unveiled as soon as Mobile World Congress, but there is no indication of whether or not the handset will eventually make its way to Canada.

HTC stated in its most recent earnings call that it was withdrawing from the competitive low-end market in an attempt to return to profitability with just mid-range and high-end devices. The company is also planning to pare back the amount of smartphones it releases this year from 11 or 12 to six or seven. Two of those have already been revealed with the HTC U Ultra and U Play, which will release later this year.
