Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) starts this Monday, with the Cupertino, California-based company revealing its upcoming lineup of software upgrades for its various operating systems.

During Apple’s WWDC keynote, we’re expecting the company to announce iOS 12, which is tipped to feature more customization when compared to previous versions of iOS. Further, the new version of the mobile operating system will open the iPhone’s NFC functionality to a variety of third-party developers, according to reports.

Additionally, Apple will also likely show off the newest version of its desktop operating system, macOS. Rumour has it that Apple plans to adopt a universal app strategy by making apps more easily sync across iOS and macOS.

We’re also expecting Apple to reveal a new version of watchOS 5 and tvOS 12.

Moreover, Apple will likely unveil a smaller and cheaper HomePod speaker. The speaker will likely compete against Google’s and Amazon’s lower-end smart speakers.

A new iPad Pro may also be on its way, too. This Apple tablet may look similar to a larger iPhone X. It might even feature a notch, alongside the Face ID functionality for unlocking.

Other rumours include ARKit 2.0, a new Digital Health initiative and possibly even the iPhone SE 2. Some of these leaks point to the iPhone SE 2 looking similar to the iPhone X, while others claim the phone be identical to the first iPhone SE in terms of build, including Touch ID functionality.
