Invites to Samsung’s virtual Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event have officially been sent out.
As expected given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the South Korean tech giant’s next event will be livestreamed. The keynote is set for August 5th at 10am ET/7am PT through Samsung.com.
While we don’t know for sure what Samsung plans to reveal at the event, leaks and rumours indicate we’ll likely get our first look at the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Fold 2 and possibly a 5G capable Galaxy Z Flip.
Samsung’s teaser image features a bronze droplet splashing on a white surface, indicating that the leaks surrounding a ‘Mystic Bronze’ Note 20 colour are likely accurate.
Real-world images of the Note 20 recently leaked, revealing a triple-rear camera bump that looks very similar to the S20 Ultra’s.
Regarding specs, the Note 20 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, a refreshed S Pen, new camera functionality that includes 100x zoom, and a QHD+ 120Hz screen. There are also rumours circulating that Samsung plans to release the smartphone in two sizes, including a standard 6.42 inch Note 20 and a larger 6.97-inch Note 20 Ultra.
The Fold 2 — which was recently rumoured to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 2 — will reportedly sport a 7.59-inch foldable inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2213 x 1689 pixel display resolution. Further, the Z Fold 2 is tipped to feature a front hole-punch display measuring in at 6.23-inches with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Along with the Note 20 and Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Tab S7 the Galaxy Watch 3 and new Galaxy Buds.
